Beth Logan Woods is a professional educator with 30 years of experience in education. As a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Beth received her Bachelors of Education from Texas Christian University in 1986 and later earned her Masters of Education degree from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. 

Beth is a member of the National Tutoring Association and currently has 20-30 private tutors who tutor throughout the city for all ages/subject matter and she conducts small group ACT/SAT test prep classes. Beth is a certified IECA (Independent Educational Consultants Association) professional and privately consults with students and families to assist students in choosing schools, colleges or programs that meet their needs and goals.

Beth has held many positions within the field of education moving all the way from classroom education to peer coaching and finally administration.  During her career she has worked with all ages and learning abilities, and fined tuned her knowledge of how children learn and what motivates them to want to learn. Her expertise is unmatched in the Shreveport/Bossier communities.

After 25 years of working within the school system and raising three boys of her own, Beth saw the lack of qualified educational expertise in the community and began her own educational consulting company – At Home Academy. Over the last eight years, Beth has built a reputation for working closely with parents and students to achieve their goals both in school and in college.

Beth is on the board at Magnolia Charter Schools and at Robinson Film Center. She is a Haven House Leader for Community Renewal and is a deacon at First Presbyterian Church in Shreveport.
